I just woke from a series of interlocking dreams that were filled with people I miss, people I don't, and people I see frequently in waking life. So far I'm really pumped that I haven't had any cameo appearances by Mom n' Dad, because Christ knows, they are the only people I see on weekdays besides bitchy florists who "have a wedding to do today." You're the only one, toots, now stifle and gimme a check. Locations featured in my dream included, and not independently: the 313, a pet store, Kristyn Lattanzi's former home in Durham, and the loading dock at Carbone Floral in Bedford.
The first few days of work were pretty miserable. Waking up at five and hitting the hay at nine-thirty is a the opposite of what I was told was normal in schollege. Also, after a forty-seven hour first work week comprised of ninety percent driving I don't even actively drive anymore. Honestly, I now black out sheer hours of every route I take both on and off the clock.
Tim King has recently suggested a writing circle via facebook, and though I prefer a circle of homeys in the basement of Ham-smith, UNH, Durham, USA, I second that emotion. Let's do this. My brief trip to Dover this past Friday really ignited some of that old creative fire. I'd love an audience of writers to share the dreams with. Also, I'd enjoy a post-occupational obligation besides watching reruns of SVU with my Dad. I love a crime drama as much as the next fat person, but it's good to use your brain once a day. At least that's what I hear.
Hey, don't ever forget about this okay? ::: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ch4dKpBJmU

Updates and Snapdragons
Yo, yiggity yo.
This blogging is really happening for me. Updates on the "things to look forward to" section from last week.
Dentist: three cavities, with no hope for filling them in sight.
Flower deliverer job: got it. A rocking, and never-rising, eight dollars per hour. Side note, got a call about a sweet interview at a hotel that I won't have time to schedule.
Bike ride: Ate shit, took eight days off to re-coop. Will probably take a few more. Hey, NH Bike Trail Authority, how about a cone in those massive holes of water damage. Warn a bitch next time.
Trip to the Coast: A dream come true, as expected. Cannot wait to return.
So far the job is a lot of lifting driving and lifting again. Gonna make it all the way to Berlin at some point tomorrow. I've decided to try to snag an interview at Hampton Suites. It's damn near impossible to imagine a job that could pay less than this one I've snagged. I want to appreciate the opportunity to raise cash in this economy, but with so little coming in things look pretty abysmal. At least I've never wanted to use this teaching degree so much in my life.
I can hear the quaint Mill-town gurgle of river water from here. That Newmarket/Dover area awesomeness. I want, I want. I want so much not to worry anymore. Oh, livejournal. You're the only place that deserves this post.

Over-educated & Under-qualified
Hey gang.
As I crawl into the third week of post-graduate euphoria, from the great state University of No Help, I look around for reasons to live. Writing used to be one of them. So here is a modern-day livejournal to keep me afloat (substitute teen angst for quarter-life crises). I'd like to start with a forward to the brilliant and unfortunately ginger Timothy King and his undying dedication to public outcry. That said, here's my concept:
My college colleagues and I have begun separate paths. Many of us don't have sweet, steady, schooling smiling at us in September. Many of us have loan repayment looming in November. So I thought maybe catching up on good ol' Kayleigh's life might make everybody feel better about their own.
This morning was the first and only that I woke in my parent's handsome, country Candia home and didn't launch into immediate guilty panic. Times are tough (in this economy). It's time to breathe deep and accept and, hopefully, tone down the weeping. Here's what I'm looking forward to this week:
-Three outreaches for employment planned (florist, kennel helper, Raymond Police Dept. dispatcher)
-Dentist appointment Tuesday! Can you stand it?
-Pop's forty-seventh birthday
-A Two-day trip to the seacoast for computerized Praxis exams
-Bike rides. 'nuff said.
So I'm off to a riveting start. I just thought all you sad post-graduates might want to join me in our final grasps at youth and our first reluctant tiptoes toward responsibility. Keep in text.
